Future Health Medical and Dental Centre is a new generation centre in the heart of Moonee Ponds making health needs more affordable and accessible. Future Health Medical and Dental Centre is fully accredited by AGPAL. It provides a range of general health and dental services with an emphasis on illness prevention and health education.
Our medical centre is open 9am – 5:00pm Monday – Thursday and up to 12.30pm on Fridays our dental centre is open till 9:00pm on Monday and Thursday.
Appointments are essential and it reduces waiting time.
Longer consultations are available and should be arranged prior to your appointment with no extra fee. An appointment is required for prescriptions and result discussions.
Home Visits & Afterhours
The doctor is available to make home visits in some special circumstances. Please discuss with your doctor. We use a Locum Doctor Service for afterhours and non-urgent matters. Their contact number is 13 26 60. If you feel the matter is urgent please contact 000.
Medicare holders and some Private Health Insurances are bulk billed – in these situations no fees will occur. Some medicals cannot be claimed by Medicare or Private Health Insurance so will be charged as a private consult, payment must be taken on same day as visit. We are partners with the following health insurances: Allianz, NIB, AHM & Medibank.
We have fees that apply for forms, medicals, walk in without appointment and procedures.

Future Health Medical and Dental Centre offers a comprehensive range of travel information. Travel advice should be sought at least 6 weeks before departure.
All routine childhood, occupational and travel immunisations are available at the clinic. Consultations are bulk billed.
We provide advice in all areas of sexual health, including STDs, contraception, pregnancy and pap smear tests.
Medicals are available for occupational, licensing and sporting needs, including diving (SCUBA). Fees may apply.
Minor procedures are performed including treatment for ingrown toenails, plantar warts, skin biopsy, removal of lesions, skin cancer removal and wound suturing. Fees may apply.
Reminders & Recalls
Future Health Medical and Dental Centre has a system for follow-up and recalls of patients with abnormal test and imaging results and for this reason it is important for us to have current contact details for you. We also offer routine reminders such as blood tests, pap smears, immunisations, etc.
Provision of health care involves a responsible partnership between the Practice and you. It endeavours to assist with all matters related to your health or illness. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain the results of tests by making follow up appointments with your GP.
Doctors, Nurses and staff in the practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours. If the doctor, nurse or staff member is with a patient or busy a message will be passed on so they can return your call. Your call will always be put straight through if determined to be an emergency. No results can be given by phone at all by the staff.
Complaints & Feedback
In the case of dissatisfaction, it is appropriate that the matter be discussed with the Practice Manager or Doctor. We also have a suggestion box available in the waiting room for feedback, suggestions and complaints, they can be left anonymously if you prefer.
