In-chair Whitening
For same day results, an in-practice whitening treatment is a great choice. This one-hour procedure dramatically brightens your teeth when you’re short on time. That way you can have a lighter-coloured smile for last-minute plans, such as a job interview or special event.
During an in-chair whitening session, we apply the gel to your teeth and activate it with a bright light. The light triggers the oxidation of stain particles, safely brightening the colour of your enamel. Even natural discolorations can be lifted from deep inside of your teeth.
It’s important to note that since same-day whitening is so powerful, some people do experience sensitivity afterward. If you’re someone who tends to have sensitive teeth, a take-home kit may be more appropriate.
Using a take-home whitening kit can give you the same results as an in-chair procedure, but in a gentler manner. It’s ideal for people who have sensitive teeth or are not in a rush to get their smile whitened. We’ll take a set of moulds to create custom trays. Then you’ll apply a small amount of whitening gel in the trays and wear them once a day (usually at night). In 10-14 days, you’ll see full results.
Several people choose to use take-home kits after an in-practice procedure to extend their results. You can top-off as needed to keep your smile bright. Simply stop by our practice to pick up a refill pack to have gel on hand when you need it.
